Paths to Freedom: Following the Footsteps of the Irish Revolutions in Rebel County
West Cork is more than just a region full of spectacular coastal landscapes and picturesque villages. For centuries, this was where the rebellious heart of Ireland beat. It is no coincidence that County Cork is still known today as the "Rebel County."
On this special day tour, we embark on a journey through the turbulent history of the Irish struggle for freedom. We follow in the footsteps of rebels, revolutionaries, and visionaries—from the uprisings of the Desmond Rebellions to the ideas of Wolf Tone and on to Michael Collins, arguably West Cork's most famous son.
But this history is far more than the story of famous men. It is also the story of brave women who, as activists, messengers, organizers, and fighters, made a decisive contribution to the struggle for freedom and self-determination. Their stories and their often-forgotten courage accompany us on our journey.
Look forward to fascinating stories, breathtaking landscapes, and a behind-the-scenes look at the events that changed Ireland forever.
A tour of courage, hope, and the long road to freedom.
