We follow in the footsteps of rebels, revolutionaries, and visionaries—from the uprisings of the Desmond Rebellions to the ideas of Wolf Tone and on to Michael Collins, arguably West Cork's most famous son.

It is also the story of brave women who, as activists, messengers, organizers, and fighters, made a decisive contribution to the struggle for freedom and self-determination.
